Samuel + cereal = fail

Samuel is quickly approaching the 6 month mark so I thought I should start trying to offer him cereal.  I had time Saturday morning so decided that would be the day.
He went from this:

To this:

He hated it.  I tried again tonight and he literally gagged on it and threw up.  I guess we might skip cereal and go straight to food :)

Cookies

After choosing a Cookie Monster diaper, Johnny asks me, "does Cookie Monster share cookies with Santa"?
Ha!

Aunt Judy visits

After 2 nights at the bed and breakfast our plan was for Paul to fly back home and for the kids and I to spend 2 nights in Wood River. Unfortunately a random blizzard hit with terrible winds that closed the airport and made our 2 hour drive to my parents take over 4 hours. None-the-less, Paul was able to fly out Monday morning and the kids and I enjoyed the extra time with Grandpa and Grandma.
I failed to take many pictures there but here is a sweet one of Grandpa Dennnis and Samuel.

I did not think the kids and I would be able to travel home by ourselves so my Aunt Judy was kind enough to fly back with us.  She stayed with us for 2 nights before meeting up with my Aunt Mary Frances.  After a visit with my cousin Sarah, they will drive to Arizona before going back to Nebraska.
We enjoyed Judy's company and appreciated her help in the airport and on the airplanes as well as at our house.  While she was here we made it a point to get into the St Patrick's Day spirit early as we know Judy is very proud of our Irish roots!  Below is a picture of Judy helping the kids decorate shamrock cookies.

Grandpa Dennis turns 65

Last week we headed to Nebraska for Grandpa Dennis and Uncle Dan's 65th birthday.  To celebrate, we rented out a bed and breakfast for all of Dennis and Dan's families.  My cousin Tisha did a great job listing all those present so I'm stealing it from her blog:

Dan and Marlene Wagoner (Wood River, NE)
Caleb and Tisha Tschetter-Siedschlaw (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) - Cadyn (3), Tegan (8 months)
Simon and Mandi Wagoner (Wood River, NE) - Gracie (8), Taylon (6), Kenna (3), Karson (2)
Tyson and Mallory Wagoner (Columbus, NE) - Emerie (5 months)
Brad and Sonya Rasmussen (Hazard, NE) - Grady (5), Bryce (3)

Dennis and Jane Wagoner (Wood River, NE)
Darren Wagoner (Council Bluffs, IA) - Brooklynn (11), Julia (11), Hallie Kate (6)
Shawn and Shawna Wagoner (Edina, MN) - Noah (6), Micah (3), Celia (2)
Paul and Deanna Wagoner (Round Rock, TX) - Molly (4), Johnny (2), Samuel (5 months)

Yes, that was a lot of people and a lot of fun.  My cousins and I all grew up together so I love for my children to have a chance to spend time with their children.

Samuel rolls

Two weeks ago Samuel proved that he can roll over, tummy to back and vice-versa.  However, he rarely rolls and is instead content just laying and playing with his toys over-head.  We continue to encourage him.  Below are some action shots of us encouraging the roll!
