Giddy Up

Today Molly's school had a rodeo/cowboy day in celebration of learning about the letter "r" this week.  I couldn't believe we didn't have any cowgirl attire.  We borrowed a hat from the neighbors and bought a cheap pair of boots and she was set.

Here she is practicing her "yee haw" before school.

Molly's haircut

Molly has been going with me to get my hair cut.  She loves to have hers cut but has never let them wash her hair.  She decided that this time, "since she is 4" that she would have her hair washed.  She thoroughly enjoyed it and was so excited the whole time.  As she was getting her hair cut and I was having mine washed, I could hear her telling the stylist all about her birthday party.  I guess chatting at the salon starts at a young age!

All 3

After about 10 attempts at getting a good picture of all 3 kids, this is the best I could get.
As a side note, I do put Johnny in pants and shoes when in public (the front yard does not count).  The child prefers to be in the buff.

Molly's 4 year stats

Molly had her 4 year well check and did amazing.  She was so well behaved and followed directions perfectly (you never know what will happen when toting 3 kids to a doctor's appt).  She hasn't gained much weight but her BMI is going up so she is not as "skinny" as she has been.

Height: 38.75" - 29th percentile
Weight: 31.6lbs - 20th percentile
BMI: 29-30th percentile

Valentine's Day

We had a low key Valentine's Day.  Molly had her well check the day before and Samuel had his check on Valentine's Day so getting to the doctor 2 days in a row is a feat itself!  The boys and I went to Molly's party at school.  She really enjoyed the party and was overjoyed with each and every valentine that she opened when we got home.
I was happy with daddy making dinner that night, always a treat!

Samuel's 4 month stats

Samuel had his 4 month check up.  I am glad his doctor encouraged me to let Samuel cry it out at night as he was waking almost every 2 hours for the past couple weeks.  He is on night 5 of crying it out and is sleeping so much better than he was a week ago.  It is aways difficult to listen to your baby cry but I check on him and soothe him every few minutes so neither of us are feeling too tortured.

Here are Samuel's latest statistics.

Height: 25.25" - 48th percentile
Weight: 15lbs 5 oz - 40th percentile

Here is our happy, clean baby boy!

Molly is 4!

Molly turned 4 on Friday so here is a recap of her birthday festivities.  On Thursday the boys and I took Rice Krispie treats and sherbet to her class.  She enjoyed wearing the "birthday crown" from her teacher.
On Friday morning 5 of the 6 girls in her preschool class came over for a party.  Molly chose a Minnie Mouse theme and to decorate headbands, frost and decorate cookies and cupcakes!  They all had good time and played very well together.
After the party we headed to the airport to pick up Grandpa and Grandma.  We rested in the afternoon and opened presents-the biggest gift being a new and bigger bike.  Friday evening we went to dinner at Dave and Busters and played games there.  After dinner we came home for one last celebration of cake and singing.
All in all, Molly had a great day and we all loved helping our sweet baby celebrate, she is one special girl.

Swinging

Living 23 years of my life in the Midwest, I don't think I will ever get used to it being 70 degrees in January/February. Today the weather was beautiful and I was able to capture some cute pictures of the kids swinging in our back yard/greenbelt.

Indoor camping

Today Molly and Johnny were peretending to camp in the living room.  They built tents as you can see in the background and insisted on getting out their sleeping bags.  What was particularly funny, Molly took her canteen (in second picture) out of the butterfly net and off of her fire (the grocery cart and toys) and said the water was ready to drink.  I guess they have learned most of their camping techniques from watching Man vs Wild with daddy!

Samuel-4 months

This big guy is 4 months old!  Samuel is a happy little boy always giving out smiles, especially to mommy and daddy.  He is so lovable; he is always getting kisses from one of us!

(Yes, he spits up a lot!)
