Samuel's Baptism

Last night we celebrated Samuel's baptism during the 5pm mass.  Samuel was a perfect baby, he watched intently as the priest blessed him, did not cry when water was poured on his head, then finished the mass with a nap.
We were joined by his god parents, Mark and Kelly Roles.  Mark has been a long-time friend of Paul's and Paul was honored to be Mark's sponsor last year when he converted to Catholicism.  Also in attendance were Granddad and Grandma Karleen, Uncle Chris, Aunt Cathy, cousins Ashley and Cassie, and our nanny, Allison.  Father Danny Garcia presided over the cermony.
Samuel is truly a speical gift from God.

We concluded the evening with dinner at Z Tejas.  It was a nice evening and we enjoyed the celebrating with those close to us.

Box houses

We made houses out of boxes which provided some cheap entertainment for the children.

Here is Molly in her house "babysitting" for my baby.

Working out!

Date wtih Dad

Last week Molly's preschool hosted "date with dad".  It is an annual event for the school.  Molly was very excited about it and was quite eager to wear a new dress and get all prettied up for daddy!  They enjoyed the bounce houses and ice cream.

Sea World

We had a fun trip to San Antonio over the weekend.  We left Friday and stayed in a hotel Friday night which is always exciting for the kids.  Saturday we spent the day at Sea World.  It was a beautiful day and we all enjoyed the park.  Molly declares her favorite to be the sea lion show.  Johnny by no surprise also claims the sea lions to be his favorite!

Samuel - 6 months

Samuel had his 6 month check up last week and here are his current stats:

Weight: 16lbs 12oz (25-50th percentile)
Height: 25 3/4" ( 10-25th percentile)

He is continuing to grow steadily and is a happy little man.  He loves to dish out smiles and definitely knows who his family is.  He is still content laying and playing, very little rolling and is becoming very good at sitting up.  Samuel is starting to sleep better. . . most nights, still eating once overnight and waking a couple times to get the binky put back in his mouth!

Here is Samuel at his 6 month check -up.
