Halloween night

All of the kids on the street met up and went trick-or-treating Halloween night.  Molly absolutely loves trick-or-treating.  She is usually a little shy but when it comes to getting candy she has no hesitation.

She was one happy little cow!

It took Johnny a little while to warm up to the idea of getting near a bunch of strangers but as the night progressed, and the sugar high set in, he had a good time.  You can see how much he enjoyed the candy!

He made quite a handsome little farmer!

Halloween day

We had so much on Halloween that I have to split it into 2 posts because I have so many pictures.  Halloween morning we went to a local festival with a friend.  It was super crowded and the kids were only interested in the candy, not the games so we didn't stay too long.  We went on the hay rack ride then went home and did a little craft and decorated cookies.  The weather was beautiful and the kids had fun.

Olivia

Molly loves to watch Olivia and was excited when we found some Olivia dress up clothes at Target.  I was excited that they were on sale and I think we have already gotten our $5 worth!

Fall Festival

The Catholic school next to our church was hosting a fall festival so we stopped by after mass on Sunday. I was glad Molly could see the festival as we drove into church because the idea of getting her face painted if she behaved kept her more quiet than normal!

Molly riding a horse. We were hoping to get Johnny on but he refused!

Both kids loved the petting farm.  Molly was a little more reluctant then Johnny but warmed up to the bunnies.  Johnny has no fear and was trying to pick up all the animals.

Halloween Crafts

Molly has been busy doing crafts in preparation for Halloween.  She is wearing her pajamas in a lot of the following pictures because we often have to do crafts after Johnny goes to bed because he likes to eat the paint, glue, foam pieces. . . you get the idea.

Thank goodness for flip flops

A cold front came through last night dropping our temperature below 70 degrees, so I figured we should try out pants and socks today.  It has been many months since we have donned such attire.  Let me just say, it was quite the ordeal for Molly who tried on 3 different pairs of socks and 2 pairs of shoes.  The first pair of socks was twisted so I helped her get them on straight, then they were too big, the next pair was not right either and she finally settled on a pair that was too small.  Next she had on boots then decided to try on her new tennis shoes only to go back to the boots.  When I thought we were finally ready to walk out the door I hear Molly in her bedroom making a fuss.  I walked in to find here half naked because her panties were not right and she thought she wore them last night (even though she wore a pull up overnight).  Grrr, I helped her change, get redressed, and we were finally out the door.  This could be a long winter!!

*To Uncle Shawn, this is exactly what mom says you used to do!

Gym

A local gymnastics gym has open gym on Friday mornings.  Molly and Johnny both have a lot of fun.  I got quite a work out last Friday because Johnny wanted to run in the opposite direction of Molly the whole time but he was having fun doing it so it was worth it.  Here are a few pictures of Johnny on the trampolines and Molly playing with the parachute.

Swinging dress

Today Molly was wearing a dress with a full skirt and was holding the skirt and swinging it as she walked.  Johnny was walking behind her and when I looked at him he was trying to pull his shirt and swing it like her.  It made me laugh!

Hamilton

Over the weekend we went to Hamilton to visit Granddaddy and Grandma Karleen.  We love to spend a lot of time outdoors when we visit them so we were glad the weather cooled off a little bit.  The kids really enjoy having the freedom to explore the 200+ acres of the the Robert's Family Ranch and Paul loves to go there and relax.  The 4-wheeler was a huge hit for both kids.  Molly was talking about riding it for several days before we went.  I think this was the first time Johnny rode on it and our thrill-seeker of a son sure enjoyed it!

Enjoying a little treat from Granddaddy, apple pie!
